Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated:
CompanionVerdict is a reader-supported website. This page explains, in plain language, how we make money and how that does — and does not — affect what you read here.
How we earn
Some of the links on CompanionVerdict are affiliate links. This means that if you click one of these links and sign up for or subscribe to a product or service, we may receive a commission. This commission comes at no additional cost to you — you pay exactly the same price whether you use our link or go to the app directly.
Affiliate commissions help us cover the cost of running the site, testing apps (many of which require paid subscriptions), and producing independent reviews.
How this affects our content — and how it doesn’t
We want to be completely clear about this: affiliate relationships never determine our rankings, ratings, or verdicts.
- We test and evaluate apps on their own merits — features, safety, value, and real hands-on experience.
- We recommend the same apps whether or not they offer an affiliate program.
- An app cannot pay us for a better ranking, a higher rating, or a more favorable review.
- When we think an app has weaknesses, we say so — even if it’s one we have an affiliate relationship with.
Our reputation depends on being honest with you. A recommendation you can’t trust is worthless to everyone, including us.
Where affiliate links appear
You’ll typically find affiliate links on our review pages and « best of » comparison pages, usually as clearly marked buttons or links inviting you to try or visit an app. Our informational guides generally do not contain affiliate links.
Products we feature
All products featured on CompanionVerdict are AI companion and roleplay platforms intended for adults (18+). We do not promote or link to any content involving minors, and we do not feature explicit adult content on this site.
